Shoot, haven't posted one of these since June. Well, you can tell I'm still here. I do the best as I can as always and try to improve. Happy Holidays and hope you guys are doing well.

Rain's Story

So getting back into Sonic and doing my OC more I figured I would post the whole backstory. At least the rough draft version of it.
Rain's story is set in the future after apocalyptic rule of Eggman. It starts with Eggman finally beating Sonic and taking rule of earth and building up his eggman empire. With Sonic's defeat, the sonic forces die down and go quite as Eggman rules for 30 years. In the process, Eggman genetically clones himself to have an heir name Reginald Robotnik. As Reginald grows up, he starts to realize the horrible effects his father's rule has on the people and at one point meets the sonic forces and realizes that what his father has done isn't right and agrees to team up with them to overthrow his father. They succeed and Reginald takes rule. In Reginald's time, him and the sonic team rebuild society for a better future as peace is made around the world. Under Reginald's rule, the world is set up in regions with elected leaders that meets with Reginald ever few months. With Reginald's passing, his son, Arthur Robotnik takes rule.
At this point is where the story begins. In the peaceful rule of Arthur Robotnik, Rain the hedgehog is Arthur student in all things science. Arthur at the time is studying the changing effects that are happening on earth and wonders what could be causing them. He remembers stories that his father told him that his father told him about ancient stones that had power effects on earth and are wondering if perhaps they are the ones causing the changes. Rain, wondering the same thing, brings up stories her grandfather told her that sound similar to what Arthur is talk about. She recalls that these stones may be these "chaos emeralds" that her grandfather told her about when she was young. Arthur concludes that this may be, and sets Rain out to seek her grandfather to get more info on these Chaos Emeralds. Upon arrival at her grandfather's home, Rain is attacked by a plant like monster. Trying to fight it off, Rain gets tangled in the vines until her grandfather appears and cuts her down. The two finish off the monster and Rain explains the situation and wonders where the monster came from. The old echidna explains about the chaos emeralds and how their force is part of Earth's existence and them being missing is now effecting earth, causing monsters to appear and changing environments. The old echidna then hands Rain something. It looks like a shard of some type and he explains that upon the rebuilding of the world, he found this shard and it may be one of a chaos emerald. He continues that although he is not sure what happen to them, it's possible they were shattered and scattered across the world.
Taking this information back to Arthur, he studies the shard and places it in one of his machines and concludes that the energy that is coming off of it is the same energy that he has been detecting that has been causing the changes in the area. He also find that more areas of this energy are in high amounts, concluding that perhaps other shards are in that area so he sends Rain out to investigate the middle of the city since the energy there is the closest. But not before sending Shadow the Hedgehog with her who is second in command to Arthur and a good friend to the family after Reginald was able to free him from the mind control Eggman had on him. Although having a crush on him, Rain keeps her feelings at bay as the two head off. Upon arrival the two hedgehogs look around and upon looking at a tree, Rain finds a shard embedded into one of the roots. As soon as she goes to pull the shard out, the tree attacks as he grows into a larger size and starts to swing it's branches at her. Dodging out of the way, the two hedgehogs pair up to fight the monstrous tree off. Upon defeating it, the shard is released, things return to normal in the area, and as Rain grabs it, she looks upon it and realizes it looks like the one her grandfather gave her. Taking back to Arthur, Arthur concludes that it may seem that these shard of a bigger power as when the two shards come into contact, the power between them combines. So Arthur sends the two off again to the other areas where the energies are high and the two find more shards along with more monsters. Upon collecting them all, the two return them back to Arthur who is working a device to possibly put the shards back together. As he finishes the machine up, they test it out and sure enough, the shard recombine their energy and the chaos emerald is restored. Upon it's restoration, a dark energy comes off of it and tries to attack Arthur, to which Shadow defends him as he fights the dark energy off as it flees the area. All in shock, Rain questions if the dark energy is what is causing the shards to react and cause the changes on earth. Arthur agrees to Rain's assumption and thinks that perhaps the stories both their grandfather's told are true and the chaos emerald shards are the cause of these troubles by whatever that black energy was. The three then decide that now a search of the shards must happen but Arthur and Shadow must stay behind to keep the peace so they assign this search to Rain.
So Rain goes off in search of the shards and the truth of what happen to the chaos emeralds. Along the way she meets up with familiar faces such as Aki Dalia, a childhood friend who had a shard in one of her necklaces her grandmother gave her and Silver the Hedgehog who is also a childhood friend and an orphan his whole life. The three work together to collect the shards with the help of old man Tails and his grandson Chipper being their transport to other parts of the world. Along the way they fight monsters who have the shards and as the emeralds are reformed, releases more dark energy. What this dark energy is is unknown for now but Arthur figures that it may have to do with his grandfather and something upon the emeralds destruction. As more and more of the emeralds are reformed, more energy is released and upon the last emerald's restoration, a darkness fall upon the city. As the group collects, a giant monstrous being attacks the city as the hedgehogs, including Tails and Chipper, Rain's grandfather, Aki's grandmother, fight off the monster. When it looks like the monster is almost defeated, it grabs Rain and the chaos emeralds and eats them, absorbing the emeralds into his body. Inside the monster though, Rain comes against the heart of it and learns that this darkness is a manifestation of Eggman's soul and his hatred for Aki's grandfather and his crew and how he was defeated by them for so long. Upon Eggman's death at the hands of them and his son, he destroyed the emerald and clung onto the shards to feed off their energy till now. Now that the emeralds are whole again, he has drained their energy and thinks he is unstoppable. Rain though says that he will never be unstoppable and that someone will always be their to fight off the darkness. Rain begins to fight him off from inside as the others fight him from the outside and after some time, Rains knocks one of the emeralds out of him. Realizing what happened, she continues to fight as she collects the emeralds back until she has all 7. Remember her grandfather's stories, she tries to call upon their powers and transforms into super mode, busting out of the monster and returning to her friends. Using the emeralds, the other 3 hedgehogs transform into super mode and the 4 go head to head with the monster, defeating it and destroy what was left of Eggman, returning peace back to the city.
With the emeralds back, the world turns back to normal and upon seeing them, Rain's grandfather is happy as he tells her to follow. Carrying the Emeralds, the group arrives at her grandfather's place and he reveals a shrine there with a giant green emerald in the middle of it. He explains about how Eggman had destroyed his island in the sky and how he rebuild the shrine for the emeralds and the newly revealed Master Emerald that helps control the emeralds. Placing the emeralds around the Master Emerald, her grandfather explains that one day now it will be Rain's job to protect the Master Emerald and watch over the emeralds like he did before. Nodding, Rain hugs her grandfather as well as everybody else as things are peaceful again and the can live their lives for the future once again.

I don’t have work nor am I really finding any in my line of field that I can apply for so I figured I would open up myself to art commissions atm. I know I’m not the best but I’ll give it my best shot.
